Eights 2009: Saturday results |

Both men's teams finished Eights with spoons: M1 were bumped by St John's and finished 6th in div 2 (down 4); M2 missed their start, were bumped by Osler 1 and finished 6th in div 5 (down 4).
The women's side provided two very exciting chases: St Peter's 2 were a quarter of a length away from Queen's W2 in the gut, but Queen's pushed away by boat house island and rowed over, to finish 8th in div 5 (down 3). Queen's W1 were chased by Exeter for the entire course, and got bumped a couple of lengths before the finish line, putting them back at 8th in div 2, as last year.
Teddy Hall kept the women's headship for the 4th year in a row, and Christ Church took the men's headship which they had last held in 1985.
Over all, it was a very enjoyable race. Thank you to everyone who came to support the crews, and congratulations to everyone who took part!
